About Us

Welcome to Wildland Gardens: A Dream Realized

Greetings! We are Michael and Carrie Ann Richards, the proud owners of Wildland Gardens. Our journey is a testament to the beauty of late-life dreams coming to fruition. Wildland Gardens is not just a business to us; it is a labor of love that embodies our passions, aspirations, and the joy of connection with nature and food.

A Cozy Retreat

At Wildland Gardens, we believe in creating more than just a space; we offer a cozy sanctuary for family, friends, volunteers, and guests. Each corner of our garden is curated to provide an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We invite you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of our grounds, where every path encourages reflection and relaxation amid the soothing sounds of nature.

Our Beginning

In 2019 through a series of mishaps we finally acquired full ownership of farmhouse and nursery that are the heart of Wildland Gardens. We then embarked on a journey to transform this property. We also purchased the adjacent land, envisioning a gathering place where we rehabilitate soils and dreams and pursue farming and creating magical spaces.

A Passion for Nature and Outdoor adventure

The foundation of our work is built on a love for native plants and sustainable practical gardening practices. We understand the importance of working harmoniously with nature, and that philosophy is interwoven into the fabric of Wildland Gardens. Our edible gardens feature a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs are home to many variety of birds and insects
